The Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects will have its 2013 home tour Nov. 2 and 3 and will feature 11 homes throughout Austin. This year’s variety should appeal to design and architecture fanatics. The tour includes everything from a remodeled 1919 craftsman bungalow to a curvy contemporary mansion that’s poised on the Lake Austin waterfront. Four homes on this year’s tour are designed and occupied by local practicing architects. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 per person on the weekend of the tour. Ticket locations include Zinger Hardware on North Lamar Boulevard, Mockingbird Domestics on South Lamar Boulevard and directly from AIA Austin in Central Austin.
