5. How far in advance should I look for an apartment?

30-45 days prior to your move-in date. I will not recommend more than 60 days due to 2 facts:

  • The majority of apartments in Austin is on 60-day notice - very few are on 30-day. This means that they can only see 60 days from today what they have coming available.

  • Austin apartment market is very active. Pricing DO literally change daily based on availability. There are many factors affecting the make-up of apartment pricing such as supply and demand, time of the year and others.

    If you look today and your move-in date is not until 3 months, 6 months or a year from now, I can only give you options of apartments based on their current offered pricing. 3 months, 6 months or a year from now, options of apartments based on your price range would/ could be a different set completely. I understand that some people just want to get an idea, but the 'idea' will look completely different when you are actually ready to secure an apartment. In my opinion, looking too far in advance will just be a waste of your time.


6. What if I have/ want to be in an apartment today?

I can help you with that, too! There are apartments throughout Austin and the surrounding areas that have an instant approval process which allows you to look, get approved and move in the same day (unless it is the weekend)!
